Services

ACADEMIC TUTORING – Certified teachers and tutors are available to work with students on any level. Academic tutoring may include reading, writing, math, and language. Tutors are also available to assist in studying for tests including CDL and Driver’s License testing upon request.

GED – Adults aged 16 years and older are eligible to obtain their General Equivalency Diploma. To begin the process, please arrange an appointment for initial testing. To qualify for services, you must have a valid Social Security Card. Upon completing the necessary tutoring, students will take the 4 GED test portions at the Adult Learning Center location.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS – Individuals who speak a language other than English may receive help in both the spoken and written forms of the English language. Students may also receive assistance in studying for the United States Citizenship Test.

COMPUTER CLASSES – The Dickinson Adult Learning Center offers a wide variety of computer classes from Basic Computers for beginners to Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks. Community members may also register for keyboarding classes at any time.

TEST PROCTORING – Students taking online or distance courses may have tests proctored at our location. Appointments are required.
